Darkness Rising
Description
It took a composite to capture what this evening truly looked like. The dark band of blue is the shadow of the Earth darkening the sky. As the sun sets in the west, darkness rises in the east. Meanwhile Pike's Peak hides in the clouds to the right.
Landscape image taken with an iPhone XR. The image of the Moon itself was taken a few minutes later through the telescope and the layered in so the image would represent what the naked eye could see.
