Perseid meteor crosses the milky way

Description

An image from my 2018 residency with @lumen_london . This one captured on an amazing trip to a local mountaintop observatory. I was lucky enough to frame this perseid meteor perfectly as I was taking long exposures of the milky way. The colour was so vivid that I researched it afterwards and discovered that the colours are specific to the meteor shower and dependent of the chemical composition of the dust tail of the originating comet.
